Description

Tracklements Sticky Barbecue Sauce is a thick, sweet and smoky sauce made by Tracklements at Easton Grey near Malmesbury in Wiltshire, where they cook it with their own English mustard and a Worcester sauce that is itself full of spice. It comes in a 310g bottle.

Raw cane sugar and cider vinegar lead the ingredients, followed by tomato puree, onions, soy sauce and honey. The Worcester sauce brings anchovies, tamarind, cloves, cardamom and ginger; garlic, black pepper and allspice season the rest, and smoked chipotle chillies at the end of the list give the smoke and a mild heat. The Times called it wonderful on ribs, and The Independent said they would happily eat it straight from the jar.

The producer suggests it for marinades and barbecued ribs, and with a full English breakfast. Brush it over pork ribs or chicken thighs in the last ten minutes on the grill so the sugar sticks without burning, spoon it over a hot dog, or stir it into pulled pork. It also stands in for ketchup with a bacon sandwich.

The bottle holds 310g. Contains gluten from wheat and barley, fish, soya and mustard, so it is not suitable for vegetarians. Shake before use and refrigerate once opened.
