Tracklements Honey Mustard Dressing

Tracklements Honey Mustard Dressing is a ready-made salad dressing that Tracklements make at Easton Grey near Malmesbury in Wiltshire, using their own wholegrain mustard as the base. It is a 240ml bottle and has picked up Great Taste stars, most recently two stars in 2024.

The dressing is built on sunflower oil and cider vinegar, with honey at 10% and wholegrain mustard at 7%. That mustard is made with mustard seed, black peppercorns, allspice and chillies, so the seeds show as flecks through the dressing and bring a mild warmth. A little raw cane sugar and sea salt round it off. The result is sweet from the honey, sharp from the vinegar, and finished with a gentle mustard tang.

Pour it over a ham salad or a chicken salad, or dress warm new potatoes and scatter them with chives. It suits a green salad served with cold roast pork, a chicory and walnut salad, or a bowl of grated carrot. Shake it into a jar of leftover roast chicken and leaves for a quick lunch, or brush it over chicken thighs before roasting.

The bottle holds 240ml. Contains mustard. Gluten free and suitable for vegetarians, though not for vegans because of the honey. Shake well before use and refrigerate once opened.
