Firetree Tasting Bar Gift Box 7 x 25g

Seven 25g bars of single-estate dark chocolate in one gift box, made from bean to bar by Firetree at its own workshop in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. The cocoa comes from farms on volcanic islands in the Pacific and from Madagascar.

The bars run from 69% to 100% cocoa: Solomon Islands Guadalcanal 69%, Papua New Guinea Karkar Island 72%, Vanuatu Malekula Island 72%, Philippines Mindanao Island 73%, Solomon Islands Makira Island 75%, Madagascar Sambirano Valley 84% and Solomon Islands Guadalcanal 100%. Firetree roasts the beans whole, in their shells, low and slow, which takes out bitterness and leaves the fruit. The Karkar bar tastes of blackberry and treacle, Mindanao of citrus, honey and caramel, and the Madagascar bar of red fruit.

Taste them from the lowest percentage up, a square at a time, with a glass of water between. It is a good present for someone who already likes dark chocolate and wants to understand why bars differ. For a full-size bar to follow, try the Firetree Guadalcanal 100%.

The bars are vegan, and Firetree's chocolate is certified kosher and halal. Contents may vary slightly from time to time.
