Mrs Kirkham's

Ruth Kirkham began making Lancashire cheese at Beesley Farm in Goosnargh in 1978, with her mother's recipe and equipment. Her husband John helped turn an old piggery into the first dairy, and their son Graham makes the cheese today. The farm keeps a herd of about 100 cows and is one of the last makers of raw milk Lancashire.
