Lyme Bay Winery

Tucked into the green hills of East Devon, just outside Axminster and a stone's throw from the Jurassic Coast, Lyme Bay Winery has been quietly doing extraordinary things since 1992. What started as a small country winery is now the UK's largest mead and fruit wine maker and, more recently, one of England's most decorated still wine producers.

In 2025, Lyme Bay made history at the International Wine Challenge, becoming the first English producer ever to win both the best English White Wine and best English Red Wine trophies in the same year. Their Martin's Lane Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, crafted from meticulously selected grapes grown in Essex's Crouch Valley, are wines that can stand toe-to-toe with the best of Burgundy.

Yet for all that ambition, Lyme Bay remains rooted in West Country tradition. Their range spans award-winning meads, fruit wines, gin and liqueurs, all made on-site by a team that cares deeply about craft and quality.
